Back to working on the Insect Lolita prompt! Lots of ruffles, tonight!
If you’re curious and have not seen my previous posts about it, I livestream every Thursday at 6pm PST to about 9pm PST! Be sure to come say hi!
Hey, it’s that day of the week again!
Last week, I worked on a little animation and I had plans to continue with that. However, I’m not really feeling it tonight, so I’m going to do something else.
I saw an artist on YouTube stream some sketches from a Random Aesthetic Generator and thought I’d give that a try. (The generator is fun to play with and sometimes super ridiculous.)
Here’s a sketch of the kinds of colors to expect:
Hope to see you there! Its starts in about an hour and a half from posting this!
Sorry for the late notice, here!
Please feel free to click over and hang out while I work on a little character design and possibly some animation if there is time!
Earlier this week, I gave livestreaming a try. Private livestreams are a reward for one of my Patreon tiers. I wasn’t expecting it to come into play for quite a while, but I already have two people at that level!
I immediately started researching and asking around about how to go about doing this. I’m still working on the details of how I plan to run a private stream, but Picarto was recommended to me by a friend (they have a paid premium account option for private channels). So, figuring I’d give it a try and see how I liked it, I started a stream the other night on the following channel:

I had so much fun that I’m planning on picking up where I left off!
The above link is where I’ll be at. I may stream at random before then on different projects, but I’ll specifically be working on the Scarf Cat WIP tomorrow.
The full drawing will be posted when it’s finished with early access for patrons at any of the $3+ tiers!
Again, that’s Thursday, July 7th from 6pm to ?? (probably like 8 or 9, but we’ll see) Pacific Standard Time! Hope to see you there!
My full-time employer laid off a third of the company, myself included. This definitely threw me for a loop and I’ve been trying to recover from the blow to my financial security since then, while also working to find what makes me happy enough that I can do it for a living.
I won’t lie, phone and email support was not what makes my heart sing. It was a job that paid well, but it was a very stressful position to be in. I was looking for other income while I was there, but the news that they had terminated my employment definitely felt like the rug was being pulled out from under me.
I have been working through my stress and emotions since then, as well as my own limiting thoughts and behaviors. I have had a lot of resentment from a variety of sources that I’ve been working through, as well as trying to take the time I’ve needed to get back to a place of well-being and self-care.
At this juncture, I don’t have all the answers I’ve been seeking. I am still going through a lot of the anxiety that’s been holding me back. Now, though, I’ve run out of time. I gave myself a limit and I’ve reached it. I’m still at a loss for a solid solution, but I’m going to move forward. It’s all I can do right now.
I’ve changed the layout of this blog and uploaded my WIP Wednesday for today as the banner image. I’ve also gone through and deleted all of the posts on my Patreon. Starting fresh. And, one step further, I’ve created a Ko-fi account.
I’m not going to make a promise here to adhere to a set schedule. I’m going to be taking baby steps to get back into drawing for myself and for an audience. It’s been a challenge to do so without feeling guilty that I should be doing “something more productive”/something that makes money.
If you would like to provide a one-time donation to help me continue with my art, please consider buying my a coffee on Ko-fi (a one-time donation for approximately the cost of a coffee).
If you would like to become a patron and receive regular rewards, please go check out my Patreon and look over the tiered options (this is a set amount that is charged whenever I post new content and can be set to have a monthly limit).
